I have tried and tried to make it through this and handle this on my own with absolute failure and disgusting behaviors from everyone, violating my rights to have a fair hearing, a chance to hear this by withholding records through the VA from my late husband until the 2-year mark so I'm unable to have the proper supporting evidence to file. No lawyers will help and say they are also dependent upon the VA following through with the request to release the information as well. My husband was med released from the Army, 82nd Airborne during the war on terrorism 2006-2007 where he was injured and left in a wheelchair. He was just finally awarded full 100% disabled/unemployability after years of suffering, and they still left him with no SI joint on the right side, refused to help him with the pain, told him he was Unsalvageable, he was having traumatic nightmares, unable to sleep, lay, sit, stand, walk, dress himself fully etc Being treated for PTSD, Complex PTSD, Severe Depression & traumatizing pain, neuropathy, and a traumatic brain injury causing him to have dissociative disorders. He had a 14 person staff of specialists here at myrtle beach outpatient VA on Airpark Dr. In which he was calling, crying, begging, pleading even using the suicide hotline for them to place him in a facility and watch him, he was fearful of hurting me or someone else. They put him on a waiting list 7 weeks out instead, even though he was calling almost every day worse, he shot himself during one of these nightmares Jan 25th, 2022, they refuse to give me his full records, copy of DD214, just keep saying they're back logged. I've filed with DAV, Archuletta law firm, myself 3 times now, nothing! They took all spousal grief help from me, stated they didn't want me seeing anyone or using the VA way attached to him because of their liability for his death, also told me I needed to wake up and realize that my husband shot himself and the VA isn't going to help my family!
