I was shocked to learn that you, my fellow Democrats, joined Republicans lead by MARJORIE TAYLOR GREEN (of all people), to censure Representative Rashida Tlaib on 11/7 over her comments regarding the violence Israel is perpetrating against the Palestinians in Gaza as revenge for the October 7th attacks.
Tlaib has called Israel an "apartheid" state, accused President Joe Biden of supporting the "genocide" of Palestinians and came under fire for blaming Israel for the attack on a hospital in Gaza, despite U.S. intelligence clearing Israel of wrongdoing.
I was also shocked to learn that four Republicans voted against the measure, including Representative Ken Buck who said, “"It's not our job to censure somebody because we don't agree with them," Buck said. "Let the Ethics Committee look at it. Let others look at it, but I will not be voting for a motion to censure unless it's very serious conduct."
Democrats (especially Biden) are going to need begin to listen to the majority of the American people that we do not support Israel’s actions and demand you call for an immediate cease fire…no matter your personal feelings.
