CEASEFIRE IN PALESTINE

With regards to your reply regarding my plea for a cease fire in Gaza I cannot accept the lack of urgency when addressing basic human rights. The excuse of defense has long run it’s course as we cannot justify nor address the decimation of an occupied Palestinian via carpet bombing with white phosphorus and laying waste to what would very well be known to be places of refuge and safety for the general population 40% of which are children. You say that you are monitoring the situation and following up with humanitarian aid however food water and medicine are very obviously not going to stop missiles and bombs rapidly falling upon the Gaza Strip without discrimination. You say you are so acutely aware of the 1 million children on the ground on the Gaza Strip but make no mention of the overwhelming brutality that Israel continues to wage against them. You instead chose to recognize the brutality of the Hamas attacks with out so much as a mere mention of being “aware” of the Palestinian children who have no affiliation with Hamas in any way. How clear can it be the lack of compassion for Palestinians when we frame the attacks on the Israeli civilians in vocabulary such “murder” and “killings” but Palestinians are simply “dead.” I hope you are able to reflect on the Palestinian lives lost who were murdered like fish in a barrel and think of Uday a one month old infant who’s death certificate was issued before her birth certificate, I hope you think of Yumna Shaqih a 5 month old among many others who was murdered by Israeli bombs, along with the thousands upon thousands of children who have been murdered in the last 75 years under Israeli occupation. Meanwhile footage exists of Israeli citizens cheering and dancing on Snapchat as each bomb falls in the distance snuffing out yet another family. I will continue to advocate for Palestine as they are deserved of protection from war crimes as any other nation would be.

Dear Ms. Ayhan,

Thank you for contacting me regarding your concerns about the recent violence in the Middle East. I appreciate the opportunity to hear your thoughts on the horrific terrorist attack perpetrated by Hamas on the Israeli civilians and the events occurring in the region since that horrible day.

As a Member of the U.S. House Intelligence Committee, I am fully briefed on the recent developments in the region and following it closely. I am horrified by the loss of life and the violence that was inflicted upon innocent civilians at the hands of Hamas terrorists, as well as the horrors facing families whose loved ones were abducted.

Israel has the right and responsibility to defend itself and its citizens from Hamas' terrorist attacks.

As a former CIA case officer who worked on counterterrorism cases, I know the United States must continue to stand by our ally, Israel. The Biden Administration made it clear that the United States will stand with our ally, Israel, by providing military aid, enhancing our military presence in the area as a means of deterrence, sharing intelligence to understand how the attack occurred, and aiding in hostage recovery efforts, as well as working to bring the world community together to address the humanitarian need in Israel and Gaza.

I fully support providing Israel with the intelligence, defense, and humanitarian assistance it needs to protect its borders and neutralize the Hamas terrorists. That's why, on October 11, 2023, I joined more than 400 of my colleagues in supporting a bipartisan resolution expressing support for Israel and condemning Hamas' barbaric and brutal attacks on innocent civilians.

As the crisis continues, I support the Biden Administration's commitment to spend $100 million in humanitarian aid to Gaza, working with regional partners to allow trucks with aid through the border and into Gaza. As Israeli soldiers fight to protect Israel and defeat Hamas militants — and the other terrorist organizations attacking Israel, I am acutely aware that Palestinian civilians, including one million children, are on the ground in Gaza. The United States must make sure that food, water, and medicine are able to enter Gaza. To this end, my colleagues and I sent a letter affirming this priority to President Biden last week.

As your Representative, I will continue to closely monitor the situation in the coming weeks, and I stand ready to support legislative efforts to support Israel's security and the humanitarian needs of civilians in Israel and Gaza.

I thank you for writing to my office with your concerns. I hope you will continue to keep me informed of the issues important to you, as your input helps me to better serve you as your Representative in Congress.

Sincerely,

Rep. Abigail Spanberger
Member of Congress

I demand an immediate ceasefire in Palestine being enacted by the false state of Israel and to stop my tax dollars from bombing infants and children without discrimination and “enabled” by propaganda spread by the false state of Israel. I do not condone my tax deductions to be spend brutalizing babies to the point of pieces, I do not support the enablement of Israel through my money to continue to occupy Palestine over land grabs and Zionism. You speak so loudly when it comes to terminating a zygote but a when it comes to living children living babies you turn away and allow them become martyrs to a world that has offered them nothing in return. It’s sick it’s brutal and none of what has already transpired will be forgiven. CEASE FIRE IN PALESTINE
