I am a Staff Sergeant currently serving in the U.S. Army at Fort Cavazos. Specifically, I am assigned to 2nd Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment. I am writing in regard to several pay issues that have arisen within my organization. Being on flight status, our enlisted service members are entitled to an incentive flight pay. Unfortunately, the majority of our troopers have not received this pay for quite some time (up to 17 months) despite submitting the proper paperwork through the proper channels as many as four to five times. The finance office on Fort Cavazos will not see any Soldier not in a Commander or First Sergeant position, so these service members have run out of options to recover as much as $3,500.
