Dear Mr. Medori,

Thank you for contacting me regarding transportation and infrastructure issues facing our country. Long term investments are needed for our transportation and infrastructure systems to prioritize job creation, improve road safety, and promote clean and renewable energy.

My colleagues and I in the U.S. House of Representatives have been active on passing legislation to improve our transportation and infrastructure systems. I am pleased to let you know I am a cosponsor of H.R. 2 – the Moving Forward Act and on July 1, 2020, voted with 232 of my colleagues to pass this legislation. H.R. 2 invests more than $1.5 trillion to rebuild America’s infrastructure system while creating millions of good-paying jobs. The bill funds programs that improve road and transit safety, rebuild schools, increase the production of sustainable aviation fuels, and supports energy efficiency and climate resilience.

Furthermore, I have cosponsored several bills that promote growth in the infrastructure industry while supporting our workers and a cleaner environment. These include:

As lawmakers we have a responsibility to build sustainable and lasting transportation and infrastructure systems. Know that I am committed to supporting projects that create jobs for workers and invest in green, sustainable, energy— an issue of utmost importance as we work to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic economic downturn.

Again, thank you for contacting me about this important issue. I welcome and value your ideas and encourage you to sign up to my newsletterfor more information.

            Sincerely,

          Madeleine Dean

The portion of Interstate 95 that runs through Philadelphia should be demolished. It is just way to dangerous to have a highway with no place to pull over or running elevated over a large distance.

Philadelphians should rely less on cars and more on public transportation.
