To all my elected officials who hold positions of power and persuasions over the American people. You have been put there to speak on behalf of the people you represent in your districts and follow the will of the people. What has happening today is a disgrace to the nation and the posts you all represent. The two-party system was put into place to provide check and balance not to allow a platform for two riveling parties. As a registered Republican I am embarrassed by both parties and the fact that there is so much fighting amongst you all. We have also seen how you take advantage of your positions and the system to line your own pockets in the process. We have had Trump figuratively spit on the Constitution and wants power so badly he's willing to lie, cheat and steal to stay there, while pointing fingers at everyone else. Republicans are so afraid of him that they rather commit to the lies than challenge the position. On the flip side of the coin, we have the Democratic far left that thinks we should fill important positions with LGBQT instead of those with the knowledge to properly head these positions. We need you all to get back to work repairing this nation and listening to the real voice of the people.
As a college instructor I find myself having to explain to my students why things are the way that they are with our political system. I have to explain to them that when you graduate even with your degrees, chances are you will never make it into the middle-class bracket. Growing up myself in the suburbs of Denver I didn't know or care about my social status. My father worked as a brick mason and my mother ran a small daycare out of the home while we attended public schools and was part of the school bussing Intergration in the mid 70's, which was a failure. When I first registered to vote my feelings at the time were, Republicans represented the rich while the Democrats represented the poorest of the population. It's up to you all to change that perception.
