As Governor, I welcome input from those throughout the Garden State and beyond who are eager to share with me their thoughts, concerns, questions, and ideas. My staff and I will endeavor to be as responsive as possible to the many people using this electronic means of communication, as well as to those who, through letters and phone calls, contact my office. Again, I appreciate your taking the time to write to me. My very best, Philip D. Murphy

Please support and help move theses bills out of the committees and to the floor for a vote. Ordinary NJ public employees who are 9/11 responders like myself deserve the same benefits and protections that the Legislature and Governor Murphy gave NJ Law Enforcement, Fire Fighters and EMT's under the Bill Ricci Act P.L. 2019 ch. 157.

We all made the same sacrifices during 9/11 and we all deserve the same benefits and protections regardless of what public employment job title we hold. The fact that ch. 157 excludes public employees from filing and obtaining a disability retirement because we do not hold specific job titles is all the more reason the members of the legislature and Governor Murphy should pass S 817 & A2442 to correct the mistakes made  in 2019.
