Assemblymen I am again writing about Bill A2740 that is still sitting with no action in the Assmebly State and Local Government Committee since February of 2020.
I thank all of you who have responded to my multiple previous emails and I would like to personally thank Assemblyman Kennedy for choosing to sponsor the Bill.
I fully understand that the past few months everyone was more concerned with their bids for reelection.
I ask all of the members of the committee especially Assemblyman Mazzeo to move Bill A2740 forward and out of the committee so it can be voted on and hopefully passed before the end of the year.
My family and I hope that in the event that my 9/11 medical issues become disabling that I will allowed to receive the same retirement benefits that the Legislature granted to law enforcement, emt's and fire fighters under the Bill Ricci Act P.L. 2019 ch. 157.
