I’m James McPherson, navy veteran, good citizen. I’ve worked my entire life and contributed to society in a positive way. This is how I would like you to represent myself and my country.
1. Covid mandate by Biden. Stop this immediately. Violates my right to life liberty and pursuit of happiness. Vaccine and mask mandates
2. Gun control. Institute nationwide constitutional carry. Let individual cities and counties impose stricter restrictions if they deem necessary
3. Federal government. President Biden needs help. We had the greatest country of my lifetime under president Trump. I am looking for president Biden to seek the advice of president trump before the country gets to a point of no recovery. Economically, health and politically.
4. Fix social security. I’m 5 years from retirement and I’m told if I work while I draw social security I will have to pay it back. Can anyone explain how this is morally right? You MADE me pay into it and now you want me to give it back if I choose to continue to contribute to my community by offering services for pay?
5. Borders. Close them. Immediately. Deport any illegal alien not working and paying taxes. Deport any illegal alien on government assistance. Finish the border wall. Streamline immigration process where it takes 6 months or less to become a citizen. That is if you meet conditions (work, pay taxes, don’t commit crime, speak English)
6. Government assistance. Healthy people able to work should have 6 month limit to unemployment benefits. Covid or not. I’ve worked from day one through covid. It doesn’t take a special talent, just go to work
