Please support the Let Experienced Pilots Fly Act of 2025. Pilots unions like ALPA, APA, and SWAPA are wrong. They did not support the age 60 change and do not support the proposed legislation to change the retirement age to 67 now. They were wrong before and are wrong now.
In short, there is no reason that a fully qualified and capable pilot, one who is trusted without question, to fly hundreds of passengers on a large part 121 transport jet on a Monday, is somehow no longer qualified Tuesday to do the same, solely because they had a birthday.
This is age discrimination plain and simple. The pilot unions listed above were wrong in every way in the past and are wrong now. There is NO evidence to show qualified and legal on Monday is now illegal and unqualified on Tuesday.
Please support the legislation to change the age to 67. Thank you for your time.
