Thank you for taking the time to contact my office. I always appreciate hearing from my fellow Americans. As a United States Senator from Kentucky, my office prioritizes responding to Kentuckians. We will review your comments, but should you be in need of immediate assistance, I encourage you to reach out to the Senators and Representatives from your state.

Again, thank you for contacting me. It is an honor and a privilege to serve the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the United States Senate.

Sincerely,

Rand Paul, M.D.

United States Senator

Please restart the work of the Advisory Board on Radiation and Worker Health. The Advisory Board is an integral working of the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Act of 2000 (EEOICPA), Part B.

The Advisory Board is crucial in that it audits radiation dose reconstructions of former and current Energy Employees for accuracy and completeness; and adjudicates Special Exposure Cohort (SEC) petitions. Evaluated SEC petitions cannot move forward without Advisory Board review and action. One proposed SEC class for Savannah River Site construction workers has been awaiting a vote by Advisory Board this entire year but the Advisory Board has been idled under your administration.

At the very least Energy Employees deserve to know if they will be compensated or not for cancers potentially caused by work to keep our nation safe. We know you seek a healthy nation; part of that is providing medical benefits to injured Energy Employees. Please restart the legislated work of the Advisory Board on Radiation and Worker Health forthwith.
