Dear Friend,
As the government shutdown continues, some in Washington are starting to admit what’s really
going on behind closed doors — and it’s not about policy.
According to reports, one Democrat Senator warned that any lawmaker who supports the House-
passed bill to fund the government and end the shutdown could “get hammered." Another person
said: “We would have enough votes if people were not terrified of getting the guillotine.”
Let that sink in.
The real obstacle to reopening the government may not be a lack of solutions — it may be fear.
Fear of political backlash from the far-left base. Fear of putting the American people ahead of
party politics. I believe Americans deserve better than this kind of dysfunction.
Now, I wants to hear from you. Let us know — your voice matters.
