It is my understanding that the Republicans in our State House want to reduce education funding including at the UW. I believe this would be a huge mistake. We need a highly educated population that can deal with the future and lead our state and country in the coming years.
Even with comments from Donald Trump saying he loves dumb people, we don't need to blindly follow him in reducing our education system. People ask how can we be behind other countries in innovation and technology, well it is because of education.
Our states motto is FORWARD, so prove it and continue to fund education so that we can lead instead of follow.
