Concerned
Good day sir. My name is Christopher Lett, and I live in Hackensack, NJ. I am real concerned about the latest out of many of what the President of these United States is doing. His actions are childish but yet dangerous. This morning I wake up to a potential war that he started with Iran without going through congress. What's going on, how can this happen? Also I work with DCPP, Division of Child Protection and Permanency, and my co-workers that are legal and clients are scared the ICE may disrupt their lives; and truth be told as a black man who can say that ICE may mistaken me and lock me up. Something has to be done. We need to be reassured the congress is working on this matter. Thank you for taking time out to read this letter of concern. I would love to get a response.
Concerned;

Since President Trump's first day in office, he has unleashed a wave of actions that have caused economic chaos. President Trump also gave Elon Musk the keys to our government, allowing Musk to access private data and shutter Social Security field offices. President Trump even pardoned 1,500 lawless thugs who attacked our brave officers on January 6th in an attempt to undermine our democracy.
These actions fall far short of addressing the real needs of our nation. They do nothing to lower costs for Jersey families and only further divide us with fear and hate. While the Administration has not taken one concrete step to lower costs for hardworking families, I remain laser focused on finding bipartisan solutions to bring costs down, lower taxes, and make life more affordable.
I've taken several steps to fight back against this Administration. When the President implemented reckless tariffs, I teamed up with colleagues on both sides of the aisle to introduce the Trade Review Act, which would require unilateral tariffs proposed by the executive branch to receive congressional approval.
When the Administration indiscriminately shuttered Social Security offices, which a third of Jersey seniors rely on, I helped lead the Keeping Our Field Offices Open Act, which would impose a moratorium on field office closures for the rest of the Trump Administration.
Finally, the risks to Americans' privacy and financial security from Musk's unchecked access are not only unacceptable, but also outright dangerous. That's why I proudly backed the Taxpayer Data Protection Act to ensure your private information is protected and secure from abuse.
