I once again implore you to save KET and PBS in Kentucky, and vote against the claw back of funds previously allocated to the CPB and PBS, and to fund them in the 2026 budget. I am a contributor and supporter of PBS and KET, and I'm opposed to these efforts.
The KET communication infrastructure is used in partnership by several agencies, including:
EBS
FBI
FEMA
the National Guard
law enforcement,
and others.
Defunding PBS has been on the radar of the President, and I suspect that his motivation is due to the perceived bias of PBS and NPR and any negative coverage that he received. I disagree that PBS and KET should be defunded. I am a faithful watcher of KET and PBS, including Comment on Kentucky, Nova, shows on art and science, and others.
