Thank you for contacting me and offering your thoughts regarding America’s national parks and public lands. It is vital we continue to preserve and protect our public lands – without these protections, our nation’s public lands and their historic, cultural, and natural resources may be vulnerable to irreversible damage.
To this end, I have cosponsored several bills that provide funding and protections for projects, programs, and activities to ensure the management and conservation of natural resources on federal lands, including:

H.R. 1225 – the Restore our Parks and Public Lands Act – to provide funding to help address deferred maintenance within our parks and public lands; and 
H.R. 3195 – the Land and Water Conservation Fund Permanent Funding Act – to permanently authorize funding for the Land and Water Conservation Fund to conserve irreplaceable land and protect historic sites.
As lawmakers, we have a responsibility to protect and preserve our environment, air, water, and land for ourselves and for future generations. America’s public lands and national parks are both our national treasures and physical representations of our cultural histories. We need to preserve the natural and cultural significance of these lands and prevent the exploitation of our natural resources from causing irreparable destruction.
