I appreciate you contacting me and offering your thoughts regarding the importance of federal environmental and conservation efforts. 

As lawmakers, we have a responsibility to protect and preserve our environment for ourselves and future generations.
Article 1, Section 27 of the Pennsylvania Constitution states that “the people have the right to clean air, pure water, and the preservation of the natural, scenic, historic and esthetic values of the environment.”

This beautiful amendment guides my work in Congress every day. To this end, I am pleased to co-sponsor several bills that protect our environment and conserve our planet. These include:

H.R.1395 - Delaware River Basin Conservation Reauthorization Act of 2023, to extend the Delaware River Basin Restoration Program through 2030 and increase the federal cost share for certain conservation grant projects;
H.R.724 - Arctic Refuge Protection Act, to repeal the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge oil and gas program – preserving over 1.5 million acres of wilderness; and
H.R.3424 - Forest Conservation Easement Program Act of 2023, to establish the forest conservation easement program to conserve working forests and prevent deforestation.

Know that I will continue to fight to safeguard our nation’s natural resources and ensure that conservation remains a federal priority – keeping your views in mind.
