Thank you for forwarding my initial contact emailed to you on 4/14/24 to the "Veterans Benefits Administration", which is reflected under their "Recent Conversations" section of the "Review of Veterans Claims Procedures". I appreciate that someone in the "VBA" finally took the time to read and possibly even research what I have been trying to address since my initial claim on Aug 24, 2015 for Bilateral Hearing Loss, Tinnitus and Thrombosed Hemorrhoids. Two of the three hearing claims were initially denied by both the "claims" and "appeals" reviewer, because "They did not find a link between my medical condition and military service", however the VBA apparently did a thorough review of what was submitted and granted the bilateral hearing and tinnitus claims. In 2015 I received an UNACCEPTABLE 0% evaluation for my hemorrhoids however medical records will show that I initially received a thrombosed hemorrhoids operation while assigned as an Air Policeman, received another operation by a personal doctor in the early 70's and have had blood in stool since). Denis Richard McDonough's research staff (claims and appeals reviewers) in my opinion failed to do their job and I should not have had to wait almost 10 years to get a partial favorable resolution, I SHOULD HAVE STARTED RECEIVING COMPENSATION back in 2015. When I was working in the Inspector Generals Office in Sacramento, if I would have not read the problem submitted and researched it, I would not have had a job. Please advise - James Stephens
