WHO Pandemic “Treaty”. Treaty? More like power grab
I support the contents of this letter. How can you possibly take a political entiry that wants to vote itself supreme dictator of the world seriously? Of course theybwant complete control Your vote for yes would be criminal in my opinion. You are the “check and balance”. If the people of America knew how you were violating their trust there would be plenty of angry, shocked people. They trust you to take care of them. This would be the biggest letdown in the history of America. They dont know because you have them working exhausting schedules to pay your taxes. They dont have time for family, recreation, religion or friends muchnless keeping track of devious misbehaving politicians. Do your job and put an end to this tyrannical nonsense.
“Next month, during the 77th World Hcalth Assembly (WHA), your admmistrcltion is expected to commit the United States to two international agreements rhac would strengthen the World Health Organizations (WHO) authority to dcclorc public health emergencies of international concern and expand the WHO's authority over member states during such emergencies. This is unacceptable.
The WHO’s failure during the COV ID-19 pnndemic was as total as it was predictable and did lasting harm to our country. The United States cannot afford to ignore this latest WHO inability lo perform its most basic function and must insist on comprehensive WHO reforns before even considering amendments to the International Health Regulatjons (IHR) or any new pandemic related treaty that would increase WHO authority. We are deeply concerned that your administration continues to support these initiatives and strongly urge you to change course.

Dear Mr. Erickson,
Thank you for contacting me with your thoughts on the World Health Organization (WHO). I appreciate you taking the time to let me know your views on this issue.
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the WHO's decisions have been surrounded in controversy. In December 2019, Taiwan attempted to warn WHO about the likelihood of human-to-human transmission of a new virus, now known as COVID-19. WHO, at the behest of Communist China, ignored this warning and blocked Taiwan's participation in the global health forum. Similarly, the WHO repeated Communist China's propaganda about the virus, including the false claim that the virus could not spread from person-to-person.
In response to the irresponsible actions, former President Trump ended U.S. involvement with the WHO. Unfortunately, President Biden restored funding to the WHO shortly after being sworn into office. More recently, President Biden reportedly proposed amendments at the World Health Assembly that would give the WHO even more power by transferring greater authority for pandemic control from member nations to this scandal-plagued multilateral organization.
Representative Andy Biggs (AZ-5) introduced H.R. 79 on January 9th. This bill would require President Biden to immediately withdraw the United States from the WHO and prohibit using any federal funds to provide for U.S. participation in the WHO. I am a cosponsor of this bill. This bill was referred to the House Committee on Foreign Affairs where it awaits further action.
You might also be interested to know that I introduced the No WHO Pandemic Preparedness Treaty Without Senate Approval Act, H.R. 1425, with 14 of my colleagues. The American people did not elect the World Health Organization to govern or agree to hand over management of our public health policy to international bureaucrats. Americans rightfully remain skeptical of continuing infringements on personal liberties and freedoms. This legislation requires any convention or agreement resulting from the work of the WHO’s intergovernmental negotiating body to be deemed a treaty, therefore requiring the advice and consent of a supermajority of the Senate.
The legislation would provide more transparency in agreements with the World Health Organization, as well as a constitutional check on the administration. You might be interested to know that Senator Ron Johnson introduced an identical bill, S. 444, in the Senate.
You may also be interested to know that I am a cosponsor of H.R. 343, the No Taxpayer Funding for the World Health Organization Act. This bill would halt U.S. taxpayer funding for the WHO.
Please be assured that I will continue to track this issue closely and keep your thoughts and recommendations in mind should legislation regarding the WHO come before the House for a vote.
Thank you again for taking the time to write to me. I appreciate you making me aware of your views. Your thoughts and recommendations are helpful as I work with my colleagues on the important challenges facing our nation.
