ATDOM PATSALIS (My Son)

On May 22, 2024 Atdom is going in front of the Arizona Clemency Board for his Second Hearing. Can you please help him?
I am writing to you as a heartbroken father, pleading for your compassion and mercy in considering clemency for my son Atdom Patsalis. Atdom was a caring and giving child - he would always help our elderly neighbor carry her groceries.
Atdom confessed to his crimes because his girlfriend Jessica told him she was pregnant with his child. He wanted to take the full blame so the mother of his child would not have to give birth in prison. This was a misguided but noble attempt to do what he thought was right.
Atdom was homeless and scared at the time, and his girlfriend was addicted to methamphetamine, which he also started using. But today, Atdom is a changed young man - respectful, considerate, and focused on self-improvement. He has worked tirelessly in prison to rehabilitate himself.
My son was sentenced to an unimaginable 292-year prison term for a series of non-violent crimes. The judge even acknowledged at the time that if he did not accept a 10-year plea bargain, he would likely die incarcerated. Yet, my son bravely chose to fight the charges, believing in the fairness of the justice system.
I plead with you to grant my son clemency. His completed life should not be sacrificed for these non-violent mistakes. I know him better than anyone, and he poses no threat. All he desires is the chance to rebuild his life, reconnect with his family, and become a productive member of society.
As his father, I am begging you to have mercy and give my son another chance. I miss him dearly, and I believe with every fiber of my being that he deserves clemency. Please find it in your hearts to grant him this opportunity.
Sincerely,
Thomas George Patsalis Jr., Atdom's Dad
