The NYS Legislature is at odds with Governor Hochul's forced takeover of Local Zoning, to turn all of NYS into an overcrowded NYC-like environment. New York City is plagued with overcrowding, traffic congestion, a disgustingly dirty environment, excessive crime, noise, and a poor quality of life. I have first-hand knowledge of this being an NYC Police Officer for over 30 years.
After listening to their constituents, our elected state representatives believe zoning should continue to be decided at a local level. Governor Hochul has also been elected by the same constituents, but will not listen to their wishes on local zoning. Governor you are either making this decision to overrule local zoning based on contributions of special interests, or are on a power trip which has nullified your inteligence.
So I ask the Governor of NYS since you are not carrying out the directions of your constituents, who are you really representing as the executive of NYS?
